Apparently the Declaration of Independence was our ultimate breakup letter with England. Sorry not sorry. 
Though seriously, I don't feel guilty as 1. I wasn't involved (though one of my ancestors fought during the Revolutionary War according to records. Ironically enough, he originally came from England to help out; but switched sides and later married a Welsh woman whose family moved to America. Her house was set on fire after it was looted by soldiers, which is why I think he switched sides) and 2. We wouldn't have our Independence and life would be so much different. Reality wasn't always quite as touching like shown by fans or in Hetalia sadly.
